The Highlands Ability Battery I took accurately identified my strengths and challenges. The assessment lasted 3 hours and it allowed me to print out a confidential report immediately after the assessment. Maxine, a Certified Highlands Affiliate in Raleigh, summarized my assessment results and interpreted and explained each dimension in great detail. Coupled with my current job description, she analyzed, brainstormed, and coached me on areas of development. The Highlands assessment not only pinpointed my natural abilities, but also revealed challenges that I could face in work environments and when making educational, career, and life decisions. It also give coaches an accurate picture on client’s natural abilities which enhances the coaching session. In hindsight, I could have saved myself a whole lot of energy, time, money, and grief in my earlier years, if ability measurement tools were developed and coaching were available during those days.
